Membership associations in sub-Saharan Africa that work at sub-national, national and continental level are significant actors in building cohesion within communities, strengthen civic engagement of citizens whether on issues on health, empowerment, representation among a host of others; The executive leadership of these organisations are a unique and multi-skilled breed of individuals who simultaneously manage hundreds of members (individual and corporate), as well as day-to-day management of an institution. These leaders, like you, are intensely engaged and may feel that they are alone celebrating the significant effort that goes into achieving success, in the challenges faced within the organization with governing boards, membership and general public.
It is with this in mind that we invite heads of secretariats to an intimate a high-tea tete-a-tete section. A space for leaders to share information, best practice, successes and challenges with peers; engage on common questions and concerns; and determine effective actions in response to contemporary leadership challenges in membership organisations.
